ABOUT ME
Being brought up in a small town in India, I have always viewed sustainable living as the key to the overall development of global communities. My passion for sustainable development stems from my undergraduate studies, where I learned about non-conventional energy sources. Eventually, I took my postgraduate studies in biochemical engineering at IIT Kharagpur and proposed an integrated biorefinery framework for simultaneous bioenergy generation and bioremediation. I have a strong inclination toward the production of value-added bioproducts from renewable resources/waste streams. And I want to pursue a career in academic research and teaching. Eventually, I started my doctoral journey in Biological Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
